OnOff Picture was founded in October 2009 as a photographic agency specializing in photojournalism and reportage photography.
Collaborating with young professional photographers,
OnOff Picture has succeeded in creating a dynamic, innovative young agency which is alert to new photographic languages and to the changing demands of the publishing market.
OnOff Picture produces quality, insightful photojournalistic reportage and has the firm intention of participating in an active and proactive way in the free creation of intelligent information.
In order to achieve this, the agency requires and seeks stimulation, participation and debate from members of its staff, which in turn places them in the optimal conditions for developing their projects and ideas.

Pietro Vertamy /// Director

CUNEO, ITALY /// 1979
Piedmontese by birth and Roman by choice, Pietro has devoted himself to professional photography since 2001. He graduated from the Institute of Photography and Integrated Communication (ISF-CI) in Rome and in 2004 he founded Studio Neubauten, which is devoted to portraits and advertising. He has lectured at ISFCI since 2008, where he teaches the techniques and practice of studio portraiture. In October 2009, he founded OnOff Picture, which he directs with Alessandro Toscano. A vegetarian, animal rights is one of his passions and he is always moved to tears by horses who die in movies. He hates injustice and people who shout instead of talking.

CAGLIARI, ITALY /// 1982
Having graduated in Communications in Rome, where he has been living since 2002, he started as a self-taught photographer. In recent years, he has been experimenting with the language of journalistic reportage. As soon as in 2005, he carried out various video-photographical projects, which brought him to collaborate with CGIL (Italian General Confederation of Labour), Mental Health Department of Cagliari,
Province of Madrid and Rai (Italian National Radio and Television). He exhibited his photos in Rome, Milan, Cagliari and Madrid, as well as
in various editorial publications. Together with Peo Vertamy, he runs OnOff Picture.

Freelance journalist, writer and translator, Sabrina works as Account Manager/Press Office exclusively for OnOff Picture. Born in Rome in 1970, she graduated in Cinema and she is also an expert in contemporary art and in multimedia publishing, books and magazines. In 2010 she founded the online magazine: www.sinnberlins.eu. In 2007, she published her first book about crime: Hollywood criminale (Newton Compton); in 2009, she published her second book: 1001 cose da vedere a Roma (Newton Compton), which was a best-seller in Italy; and in 2011, she published her third book: 101 Personaggi che hanno fatto grande Roma (Newton Compton). She is currently writing a book about Italian crimes in recent history. Sabrina lives between Rome and Berlin.

CAGLIARI, ITALY /// 1982
Roberto was one of the the creators of K-Photofest, the first Photographic Festival in Sardinia. He graduated in Visual Communication from the University of Bologna in 2007 and he attended the first edition of Nuovi Giornalismi, Corso di Alta Formazione in Photo Editing (New Journalism, Advanced Training in Photo Editing), organized by the LUISS Business School in collaboration with the publication Internazionale. He is currently a photoeditor and web designer.
