Michela Palermo was born in Bagnoli Irpino in 1980.
After obtaining a degree in Political Sciences at the University of Bologna (Italy), she graduated from the Full Time General Studies Program at the International Center of Photography. While at ICP Michela was nominated for the Director’s Fellowship, and in May 2008 became a visiting student at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles (France). In May 2009 she was selected, with the personal project Parfois, by Photoespaña for a workshop with Magnum photographer Martin Parr. Her work has been exhibited in several group shows both in Italy and abroad. She is a free-lance photographer since 2009, focusing above all in domestic issues.
She really likes lost dogs.
Michela is now based in Naples.
