Valentina Vannicola was born in Rome in 1982. After graduating in Cinema Studies from the “La Sapienza” University in Rome, Valentina Vannicola undertook a two-year Masters course at the Roman School of Photography (SRF). During her studies, she began to produce photographic projects which were focused on literature and dreams. From December 2009 to February 2010, she had a solo exhibition at the s.t. Gallery in Rome. In October 2010, she won second prize for best portfolio at Fotoleggendo (Rome) and was selected for the Portfolio Italia Gran Premio Epson competition.
In April 2011, she had a solo exhibition at the Rome Auditorium as part of the Libri Come Festival, and in April – May 2011 she participated in a collective exhibition at the Italian Centre for Fine Art Photography in Bibbiena, near Florence.
